The West Sangamon Public Library is committed to making reading fun! Starting early is important for the development of literacy in today's society.
Join us for Storytime every Wednesday at 10:30am. Hear a story and then make a craft.
We want to help parents and teachers by providing the best resources to help children learn to love reading. Our kids' section features easy books, level readers for young readers and kits that include a book, CD and stuffed animal for extra reading fun! We also provide large-format books for educators by request at our Circulation desk. We invite parents and educators to visit our kids' room to provide children an early start to lifelong reading.
We have added more early years toys so that toddlers can learn to just love the library! Minnie Mouse is always available as a reading partner.
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten reading program is available for babies to preschoolers.
